The Hubs was on his way back from work and kindly offered to grab us a pizza. He stopped at "Downtown Pizza" for a large cheese. He was pleased that the damage to his wallet was minimal - only $6! However, when he peeked in the box he was immediately disappointed. Now, for background, the Hubs is a pizza lover, but not very picky at all. He eats crusts off my plate and finishes pizzas that others (like myself) find too burnt for consumption. This open-minded pizza lover was so disappointed with the large cheese that he called me ahead to warn me of what was in store. The cheese was a pile of white goo in the center of the pizza and the sauce was a thin red coating around the edge. The crust was a pasty white, hardly cooked at all. When he arrived with the pizza, we each took a bite and couldn't commit. These two pizza lovers threw out the pizza, something unheard of in this household, and called a local favorite for a quick replacement. While this may have been a one off disappointment, we are not terribly keen to investigate "Downtown Pizza" further.
