Elivio's Pizza

The Hubs and I went up to North Conway last weekend to do some Spring skiing at Mt Cranmore. While we were up there, we decided to try some pizza. The Hubs remembered a pizza place that he had visited as a teenager and remembered thinking it was some of the best pizza ever. We looked it up and were pleased to find that it still existed! At first glance, it didn't look like much. It was in a mini strip mall, sandwiched between an ice cream place and a travel agent...

As we entered I began to feel more confident in our choice. The place was filled with locals, always a good sign! There were people picking up pizzas to go and teenagers hanging out at the counter. It also smelled amazing! We ordered a small cheese pizza to share. Doesn't it look tasty?

It was also possible to buy pizza by the slice. They had cheese or the pizza of the day. I got a slice of the special, a white with garlic and veggies. It was really good! Usually a slice of pizza can be a little dry, especially if it's been reheated a couple times, but this was gooey and moist. Delicious, really. The vegetables were cooked just enough and there was just the right amount of cheese on top. Nicely done guys!

The cheese pizza was good too. The toppings were perfectly in proportion to each other, it was seasoned right, and it had just the right amount of grease.

As a wee bonus, there were cool vintage posters on the wall, advertising Mt Cranmore....

We really enjoyed our trip to Elvio's. The next time you are skiing or outlet shopping in North Conway, try Elvio's, "The Best Pizza North of the Bronx."
